    Why the sequence matters

    Do each job once, in the right order.

    1. 01

      Catch the big material first

      A coarse pleated cartridge or pre-filter protects finer media from loading prematurely and preserves flow.

    2. 02

      Polish suspended particles

      A depth cartridge captures progressively finer sediment and creates better conditions for carbon or disinfection.

    3. 03

      Treat taste and dissolved organics

      Carbon can improve taste, odor, chlorine, and certain organics, but it is not a universal contaminant-removal step.

    4. 04

      Disinfect after filtration

      When microbial control is required, validated UV or another disinfection barrier belongs downstream of turbidity reduction.
